NARF Field Day 2
July 16th with be a tour of niche cropping practices and minor acreage crops in the NE area, including enhanced efficiency nitrogen fertilizers (EEFs), cover cropping, intercropping, and crops of winter camelina, chickpea, lentil, fenugreek, and canary seed. Topics covered may include: Enhanced efficiency nitrogen fertilizers in wheat and canola, canary seed fungicide and desiccant options, agronomic management of chickpeas (varietal comparisons, seed dates, seed rates, weed management, PGRs & K Fertility), PGRs in pulses, and intercropping of pea/oat and fall rye/ hairy vetch.
