Derek Squair – Co-founder & Business Development Lead

His extensive experience in sustainable agriculture, grain merchandising, combined with his pioneering role in the private grain market consulting industry in Western Canada, uniquely positions him to drive sustainable practices. Kris Babbings – President

Kris blends a lending background with experience in precision ag, ag tech, and crop insurance. Raised on a mixed farm southeastern Saskatchewan and still actively engaged in a northeastern Saskatchewan grain farm, Kris pairs hands-on agricultural knowledge with a love for nature. His experience is a testament to his commitment to understanding agricultures challenges and creating innovating solutions for farmers’ success. With a passion for agriculture’s sustainability and nature’s preservation, Kris strives to shape a thriving future for both.

Emily Faye – Agronomy and Research Lead

Emily Faye grew up on a farm near Wishart, Saskatchewan, where her early work with cattle and 4-H sparked her interest in agriculture. She has a degree in Agronomy with a minor in Soil Science and completed a thesis on nitrogen use in barley. Emily has led projects like the Canadian Carbon Program, focusing on precision ag and sustainability. She holds several certifications, including CCA and 4R Stewardship, and is passionate about education and supporting women in ag. Now based in Alberta and B.C., she enjoys the outdoors with her husky and continues to push for better farming practices.
